QUESTIONNAIRE

Is your character willing to have sex and able to give informed consent?
Yes. Yamato will be a bit of, well, an awkward bean about it all since his father kept him isolated and confined to Onigashima for pretty much all of the last 20 years. He's a bit sheltered when it comes to interacting with others in social settings, but having freedom to decide? Expect informed and enthusiastic consent when it comes to anyone that catches his eye.

What is the wish your character made? Why did they make it?
Being confined to a singular island for 20 years leaves a person with a lot of regrets, a lot of things left unsaid and undone. For Yamato, it boils down to being unable to leave with Ace, being unable to leave and do something to help when he noticed his vivre card (a physical representation of Ace's life force) turning to ashes in his hands. He has always been unable to help when he's felt he needed to most. The battle on Onigashima, for the fate of Wano, is the first time he felt he could do something. For these reasons, Yamato's wish is a simple one: to have the strength to help those he cares about.

Yamato knows that strength can come in many different ways: mental, emotional, physical. He would not be the type to specify. If this is truly a wish that can be granted, he'll assume that it will come in whatever manifestation he is lacking

How will your character initially react to Decadia's setting?
The technology will absolutely throw Yamato for a loop. Wano is very inspired by feudal and Meiji-Era Japan in regards to aesthetic and technology. They have more modernized weaponry and in-canon forms of communication (video transponder snails), but nothing that holds a candle to what is present here. He'll be fascinated by what there is to do and see and experience. Though to be fair, that could be said of anywhere new given his previous isolation.

He won't be too fond of the surveillance given how much control his father had on him, including spies and snitches. However, he knows he signed a contract (even if the specifics and recollections of that are), so he understands it's all part of that deal. He'll get used to it. Eventually.

Courtesans and oirans aren't new, and Yamato grew up around some of the most ruthless and violent band of pirates in the Grand Line. So the whole sex thing? It won't phase him in regards to it being the main entertainment. The level of publicly observable acts might be a bit of a surprise, but not really a shocker. Honestly, the most difficult adjustment will be reigning in impulses to try everything under the sun, given his new found freedom.

What are you most interested in doing with your character in Decadia?
I'm really interested in having Yamato experience being free--in any and all aspects. Yeah he's stuck here under a deal, but he can make his own choices, move around Decadia at will. It will be fun to see what compels him under those settings. I also want to see what connections he can make with others. He's been alone, friendless, for so long. He deserves Good Things.

Yamato is also a character that is AFAB, but steadfastly lives as a male. Gender exploration, expression, and sex with that in mind would be interesting to explore here and with Yamato's character.

And then there's the ability to play out the Inappropriate Use of a Devil Fruit trope in real time. Yamato's powers have some interesting implications if they can only be used for the sake of sex and entertainment. He is able to shift into various forms of the Japanese grey wolf, including a hybrid humanoid form and a full wolf form, and then there are the sensory uses for Yamato's abilities with ice creation and formation. Let me live.

What aspect of sex appeals to your character the most?
Trying it at all? All the pirates in his father's crew were like way older, and if they weren't he wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole if he could help it anyway. It's just another kind of freedom and he wants to experience it all.

What kinks does your character have, known or unknown to them? Why do they have those particular kinks?
Yamato likely hasn't had sex, unless things happened with Ace that the audience doesn't know about. So any and all kinks are unknown, but there are a few likely ones that he'll stumble upon fairly quickly, in my opinion. Given that he's 8'8'', size kink is just kind of a given. Considering his weapon of choice (kanabos are nubbed bats essentially), I can see him enjoying impact play if he's on the giving end and it is something his partner is into. Sensory play specifically with heat and cold considering his in-canon abilities with ice are something that is easy enough to discuss and discover. Physical affection is something he'd really be into due to the lack of warmth in his more formative years; boy might be a little touch-starved on that front. Additionally, given that he has an in-canon beast form (wolf) and was raised among the Beast Pirates? Monsterfucking is definitely on that list somewhere...eventually.

There's definitely the potential to discover more in game as the opportunities arise.
